Pepper Tree Ranch Wedding with Leana Myra Photography

Pe pper Tree Ranch was the perfect venue for Carly & Adrien’s early spring wedding. It highlighted the best of Edna Valley’s rolling green hills and lush green gardens. With a muted color palette of ivory white, green, and hints of nude/clay, the wedding vibe felt very Californian, farm-to-table fresh, natural and modern, with clean lines and textural flowers.

The Process

When designing the bouquets and table arrangements we chose to build the recipes around one of Carly’s favorite flower: the Anemone. From there, we sourced California local roses, campenula, matsumoto, orlaya, and various textures of greenery including eucalyptus and ferns. Additionally, we dressed up the barn doors with southern smilax, and imitated the same concept for the ceremony. Keeping the ceremony fairly simple, we focused on using a variety of ferns and foliage to line the walk way. We did not want to distract too much from the natural backdrop of rolling hills, the pond, and grazing animals — which were quite lively just before the ceremony began!

Mechanics

We often get asked what type of hardware we use for installations at weddings. It varies depending on the scale, type of flower, and the weather. For this farm-to-table wedding we went entirely foam free by designing the table arrangements in low green bowls with chicken wire and tape, and by hanging each vine using wire and zip ties to nails and hooks already available. This made for a very organic, free flowing style of design, which is just what we love!

This wedding design had us swooning. From the beautiful local fare by Flora and Fauna Fine Food, to the fine detail of the La Tavola Fine Linen, everything was wonderfully curated and reflected C & A perfectly.
